Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to translate business needs into technical systems and strategic roadmaps. You will integrate security requirements into governance, establish traceability, and drive automation across architecture practices.

The role collaborates across Enterprise Architecture, Security, engineering, and delivery to align complex initiatives with business goals, while engaging senior leaders and driving adoption of architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture or technical leadership for large-scale IT initiatives.
• Ability to translate business, technology, security, and data requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient architecture solutions.
• Strong knowledge of architecture principles, integration patterns, cloud technologies, modernization strategies, and governance.
• Experience leading architecture reviews, evaluating technology options, and managing risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering across business, architecture, security, engineering, product, and delivery teams.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives independently, influence technical direction, and build consensus across boundaries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with senior technology leaders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical systems solutions and architectural roadmaps.
• Integrate Security Architecture requirements into governance and onboarding processes.
• Establish end-to-end traceability for security reviews, approvals, and standards.
• Advance security automation and repeatability through code capabilities.
• Integrate governance workflows with Enterprise Architecture processes.
• Embed security standards within LeanIX to support scalable governance.
• Identify opportunities to automate architecture and governance activities.
• Partner across EA, Security, engineering, and delivery to improve alignment and reduce gaps.
• Provide architectural leadership on complex technology and security issues.
• Drive adoption across the architecture community through roadshows and forums.
