Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead CyberSecurity Engineer to drive security roadmap work and two-week sprints. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, influence security outcomes, and serve as a trusted advisor on web application and edge security matters.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on leadership with deep expertise in web app security, cloud technologies, threat mitigation, and security automation. Travel to Humana offices may be required occasionally for training or meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or information security
• 5+ years hands-on experience designing and supporting WAF and Bot Management
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API security, authentication and web security architectures
• Experience with HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, DNS, CDNs, load balancing, and cloud-hosted apps
• Hands-on with Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or security automation tools
• Proven ability to assess threats, drive remediation, and lead complex initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions for web apps, APIs, and cloud services
• Lead and optimize WAF and Bot Management platforms (Akamai, Cloudflare, Imperva, AWS, Azure, F5)
• Apply web security best practices including OWASP Top 10, API security, authentication, and mitigation
• Develop security automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs
• Analyze threats, investigate vulnerabilities, implement remediation
• Provide guidance on AI-related security risks and automated remediation
• Collaborate with app, infra, and security teams to drive outcomes
• Lead roadmap planning and Agile security projects
