Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Electrical Energy Engineer to advance decarbonization, electrification, and DER initiatives in California. The role oversees electrical engineering work for DSM programs, including QA/QC and staff management, and acts as the California Responsible Electrical Engineer.

You will lead projects focused on on-site renewables, decarbonization, and EVSE, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver timely, compliant, and cost-effective solutions across

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering required.
CA Professional Engineer license is required.
8+ years electrical engineering experience in California.
5+ years as lead designer of building power systems.
2+ years in EE/DER projects.
Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

Review proposals, contracts and SOWs for electrical engineering needs and CA code compliance.
Oversee electrical engineering work and QA/QC for internal and subcontractor teams.
Develop conceptual designs and document power system conditions and costs.
Coordinate with stakeholders on SOW requirements and project design.
Lead DER projects and field audits in Southern California.
Estimate energy savings and perform technical analyses.
