Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to support renewables, decarbonization, energy efficiency, EVSE and electrification programs in California. The role involves working with customers and vendors to develop DER projects focused on public sector facilities in Southern California, performing field audits, and leading decarbonization initiatives.

Required qualifications include a mechanical/electrical/energy engineering background, 8+ years in energy engineering, and 5+ years in CA-specific

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in energy engineering with project development focus.
• 5+ years in developing energy efficiency projects in California including outreach and on-site work.
• Valid driver's license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Develop DER projects for public sector facilities in Southern California.
• Conduct field audits to document operations and opportunities for energy efficiency.
• Lead identification, scoping, and development of decarbonization projects.
• Prepare MM plans to document baseline and case conditions within budgets and timelines.
• Forecast project activities and ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define budgets and timelines.
