Humana Inc is seeking a Lead Application Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership across complex enterprise initiatives. Drive API-first, event-driven, and microservices-based platforms on Azure, while mentoring teams and defining modernization roadmaps.

You will collaborate with product, security, data, and business leaders to ensure secure, scalable solutions that improve member, provider, and associate experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years designing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Strong microservices and API design expertise.
• Extensive Azure cloud experience.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging.
• Understanding of integration patterns and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Leadership and cross-team influence.

Responsabilités

• Lead architecture and governance for enterprise-scale applications using microservices and cloud-native principles.
• Define target-state architectures and modernization roadmaps for strategic capabilities.
• Establish standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
• Drive API-first architecture and enterprise integration strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews and design governance across programs.
• Design and implement scalable, secure Azure-based solutions and migrations.
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka and streaming tech.
• Promote IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps in pipelines.
• Mentor architects and engineers; run design sessions and boards.
• Partner with stakeholders to align tech with business goals.
