Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Application Architect to guide enterprise-scale architecture across cloud-native platforms and API-first design. The role focuses on Azure-based solutions, event-driven patterns, and scalable architectures to improve member, provider, and associate experiences.

You will mentor teams, shape modernization roadmaps, and partner with business and technology leaders to ensure secure, resilient systems while aligning with governance and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years designing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in microservices and API design.
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native development.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Knowledge of integration patterns and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Security, scalability, resiliency, and observability are essential.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence decisions.

Responsabilités

• Lead architecture and design of enterprise-scale applications using microservices and cloud-native principles.
• Define target-state architectures and modernization roadmaps for strategic capabilities.
• Establish architecture standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
• Drive API-first architecture and enterprise integration strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance, and technology evaluations.
• Design and implement scalable, secure Azure-based solutions.
• Guide Azure-native services and migration strategies for legacy apps.
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka and related streaming tech.
• Establish messaging patterns, event contracts, and real-time integration strategies.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, observability, and fault tolerance across distributed systems.
• Promote DevSecOps and automation; implement CI/CD pipelines.
