Job summary

Perdue Farms seeks a Lead AI Security Operations Engineer to design, secure, and operate an AI-enabled SOC spanning IT, OT, and agentic AI systems. You will deploy AI-driven detection, triage, and response, integrating SIEM, SOAR, and AI analytics to strengthen enterprise security.

The role demands building robust security playbooks, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response leadership with a focus on AI risks and zero-trust architecture.

Qualifications

• 7 years in Information Security, including AI/ML security or automation.
• Experience operating advanced SOCs or AI-driven security environments.
• Experience in IT and OT environments, incl. ICS/SCADA.
• Strong expertise in threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, cloud security, IAM, and network security.
• Hands-on with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR and enterprise log analysis.
• Proven AI red-teaming or guardrails implementation experience.
• Knowledge of frameworks: NIST, ISO 27000, CIS.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of AI security risks and mitigation.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent architecture.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, cloud security certs, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate an AI-enabled SOC for IT, OT, and agentic AI systems.
• Deploy AI-driven detection, triage, and response to augment SOC workflows.
• Integrate SIEM, SOAR, AI analytics for intelligent detection and response.
• Conduct threat hunting focused on AI misuse, ICS/SCADA threats, and behavioral anomalies.
• Build detection mechanisms for anomalous or unsafe agent behavior.
• Monitor agent actions, decisions, and tool usage.
• Ensure SOC operations meet regulatory logging, monitoring, and incident response requirements.
• Assist with vulnerability management programs, including continuous scanning and remediation tracking.
• Integrate vulnerability intelligence into detection and response workflows.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure timely remediation of critical vulnerabilities.
• Manage enterprise PKI lifecycle, including issuance, renewal, rotation, revocation.
• Maintain and secure PKI and trust chains.
• Implement key management and encryption standards.
• Lead and support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation.
• Perform root cause analysis and preventive controls.
• Develop and maintain security playbooks, including AI-assisted response workflows.
• Continuously improve detection and response capabilities through automation and AI integration.
