Job summary

Perdue Farms, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Cloud and AI Engineer to design, implement, and enhance secure cloud architectures while leveraging AI/ML to strengthen security across IT, OT, and cloud environments.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to develop intelligent threat detection, automate security operations, and build scalable solutions that improve visibility and response times. The role may be based at our Salisbury, MD HQ or remote within a four-hour drive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Azure security services and cloud architecture.
• Solid understanding of threat detection, incident response, and security operations.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar language.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning or data-driven systems.
• Familiarity with large language models and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures with emphasis on identity, network security, and data protection.
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security governance for cloud environments.
• Implement threat detection and security operations using Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.
• Develop AI/ML models for security use cases and build LLM-powered copilots and playbooks.
• Ensure AI security, explainability, and data handling best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate secure cloud initiatives.
