Job summary

Transgender Law Center invites applications for a Law Student Intern – Spring 2027. The role is a part- or full-time internship with remote work option, supervised by Staff Attorneys– Impact Litigation Team.

Interns gain hands-on experience in civil rights law for transgender communities and engage in legal research, writing, and policy work. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with funding available if needed.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an ABA accredited law school is required.
• Interest in transgender issues and civil rights law.
• Commitment to racial and economic justice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with impact litigation docket: legal research, case investigation, document review, and drafting of legal writing.
• Engage in policy advocacy, including drafting policy materials and non-litigation advocacy for clients.
• Draft Helpdesk and Prison Mail Program responses and public resources.

Skills
