BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Law and Motion Associate to join a Los Angeles-based team. The role offers remote work flexibility, allowing a portion of the workweek to be conducted remotely.

The firm emphasizes a collaborative environment with seamless communication and access to resources. The candidate should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, be an active California State Bar member in good standing, and possess strong writing and research skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required (licensure to practice law).
• Active membership in California State Bar in good standing.
• Law review or significant legal writing experience is a plus.
• Exceptional research and writing abilities with strong analytical skills.
• Judicial Clerkship or externship is a plus.
• Prior criminal defense attorney experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Draft pretrial motions and oppositions, including pleading-related and discovery motions.
• Prepare trial documents, such as motions in limine, trial briefs, and jury instructions.
• Draft post-trial motions, including motions for new trial and attorney's fees.
• Handle appellate cases and conduct appellate arguments.
• Conduct legal research and provide recommendations on complex legal issues.
• Analyze and assess litigation and appellate strategies.
