Job summary

Fisher Phillips is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment litigation attorney to join as Special Counsel in a nationwide virtual office, supporting a dedicated PEO client with a focus on Northern California. The role requires in-person court appearances and related proceedings in California, while offering remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have seven+ years of employment law and litigation experience, a California bar; remote-work experience with high-volume matters; and

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school; seven+ years of employment law and litigation experience.
• Active California bar membership in good standing.
• Experience working independently in a remote environment and handling high-volume matters for a large client.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation matters in state and federal court and arbitration.
• Develop case strategy; draft and review pleadings and motions, conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials/arbitrations; supervise and mentor attorneys and staff.
