Job summary

Jobot is seeking a remote Labor & Employment Associate to represent employees in labor and employment matters with a national firm known for a modern, client-focused approach. The attorney will handle pleadings, research, settlements, and client counseling while collaborating in a tech-forward, flexible environment.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited school, GA and AL licenses, at least 2 years of federal employment law experience, strong writing and negotiation skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Georgia (GA) and Alabama (AL).
• 2+ years of federal employment law experience (including clerkship).
• Exceptional legal writing skills with clear, concise drafting ability.
• Strong negotiation skills to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to counsel clients.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in legal research software and MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to confidentiality and discretion; business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and draft legal documents for clients (pleadings, briefs, contracts, settlements).
• Advise clients on rights and obligations under labor laws.
• Conduct legal research on employment law topics.
• Negotiate settlements that represent clients' interests.
• Participate in business development and client seminars.
• Stay updated on laws, regulations, and industry trends.
