Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) seeks a Labor Attorney in Labor Relations to represent the Authority at administrative hearings, arbitrations, and matters affecting contracts and policy. The role requires strong legal analysis and advocacy before labor boards and arbitrators.

JD and NYS Bar are required, with a minimum of 3 years in labor relations. Full-time, 9:00 am–5:30 pm, located at 2 Broadway, with telework eligibility.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and NYS Bar Admission required.
• Minimum 3 years in Labor Relations with emphasis on legal analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Represents Authority at administrative hearings and arbitrations on labor relations issues.
• Investigates disputes, prepares memoranda, develops litigation strategies, and testifies as needed.
• Advises senior management on collective bargaining matters and administers agreements.
• Ensures uniform policy interpretation and labor relations guidance across departments.
