Job summary

HighRes Biosolutions is seeking a remote Automation Support Engineer II to support customers in Salt Lake City, Denver, or Austin metro areas. You will be the primary contact for robotics systems, handling case management for software and hardware, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues.

You should be a fast learner with excellent communication, comfortable working independently, and able to travel domestically about 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (computer science, robotic engineering or related)
• Experience in customer service with a focus on customer success
• 4+ years’ experience in lab automation, robotics, or software
• Basic proficiency in C#, Python, or other OO languages
• Strong software troubleshooting abilities and collaboration with software teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Improve customers' daily experience with platforms contributing to human health discoveries
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and technical acumen
• Manage a West Region customer base of up to 30 accounts
• Meet targets for response time and quality to ensure customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolutions from diagnosis to completion
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers for troubleshooting and upgrades
• Debug and deploy code for integrating laboratory automation devices
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP and serial networking issues
• Configure relational databases for scheduling software
• Interface with and train customers remotely or onsite
• Deploy automation solutions while working with teams to troubleshoot field issues
• Perform system upgrades and software updates with minimal operational impact
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements
