Job summary

24-MAG LLC is offering a part-time remote consulting opportunity for experienced Kubernetes Engineers to review production cluster operations, manifests, and reliability. The role emphasizes rubric‑based feedback and production realism.

You will assess cluster scenarios, networking, storage, RBAC, and failure modes, with focus on best practices, Helm charts, and troubleshooting workflow efficiency. Remote within the United States; H1‑B not available for this engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on production Kubernetes experience.
• Experience operating EKS, GKE, AKS, or self‑managed Kubernetes clusters.
• Deep understanding of CNI, DNS, ingress, PV/PVC storage, RBAC, scheduling, and failure modes.
• Strong experience authoring and reviewing Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.
• Proven ability debugging live production cluster incidents.
• CKA or CKAD certification preferred; Istio, Prometheus, Grafana experience advantageous.
• Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise technical feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review production‑oriented Kubernetes scenarios across managed or self‑hosted environments.
• Assess cluster configuration, workload behaviour, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate networking configurations including CNI, DNS, ingress, and service connectivity.
• Review PV/PVC storage configurations and persistence behaviour.
• Evaluate RBAC configurations and enforce least‑privilege policies.
• Diagnose failures (CrashLoopBackOff, OOMKilled, scheduling) and review troubleshooting workflows.
• Audit manifests and Helm charts for correctness, safety, and maintainability.
• Provide rubric‑based, written feedback and grading across tasks.
