Job summary

OpenTrain AI is hiring a Kubernetes Task Auditor to evaluate Kubernetes tasks used to train frontier AI models. You will review cluster operations scenarios and troubleshooting decisions, providing rubric-based feedback. This remote, part-time contractor role requires 3+ years of Kubernetes experience and proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript.

Compensation is $70-$90 per hour, with 20+ hours per week, and the position is based in the United States as a remote opportunity.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on production Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with EKS, GKE, AKS or self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to write rubric-based evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Review Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts for correctness and operational suitability.
• Evaluate troubleshooting approaches for common Kubernetes issues.
• Examine decisions involving CNI, DNS, ingress, PV/PVC storage, RBAC, and related internals.
