Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Kubernetes Consultant to support the implementation of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP). This remote role contributes to a greenfield, on-premises deployment to operationalize the platform for DevOps teams by year-end.

You will work hands-on across networking, security, and automation to ensure a stable, scalable Kubernetes environment. Preferred candidates bring Kubernetes deployment experience, RHEL/Unix and networking skills, and familiarity with tools like Argo

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes implementation and operations.
• Proficiency in RHEL/Unix and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with on-premises deployments and cloud-native tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and operationalization of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform.
• Contribute to low-level design, testing, and PoC work for networking and firewall plugins.
• Support platform patching, monitoring integrations (Datadog), and runbook creation.
• Work with automation tools such as Commander, Argo CD, and Jenkins.
• Ensure security controls including pod security and admission controllers; hands-on deployment and stabilization.
