Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions in Austin is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our DevOps/SRE team, designing, deploying, and maintaining automation for Kubernetes clusters to support scalable, secure apps.

You will develop tooling to generate manifests, deploy clusters (GKE/EKS/RKE), monitor with Datadog, and collaborate with developer teams to streamline deployments, improve reliability, and uphold security and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
5+ years software development experience (Go/Java/Python).
2+ years Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/RKE).
Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment/configuration/management (cloud & on-prem).
Hands-on GitOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.
Strong cloud knowledge (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Experience with containers (Docker/ContainerD/Helm).
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and extend tooling to auto-generate manifests to reduce copy/paste errors.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters with high availability and security.
Set up monitoring/alerting with Datadog and troubleshoot incidents.
Collaborate with application teams to streamline Kubernetes deployments.
Stay updated on Kubernetes/cloud-native tech and drive process improvements.
Participate in on-call rotations to minimize production downtime.
