Job summary

Groq, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to own and evolve a Kubernetes-based platform that underpins our cloud infrastructure. You will design, build, and operate scalable systems, improving reliability and efficiency across clusters while collaborating with software and infrastructure teams.

You will own full lifecycle responsibilities from design to production operations, tackling hard problems and shaping the platform's future as Groq scales.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with production infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes expertise and architecture design skills.
• Experience owning Kubernetes environments in production and resolving issues at scale.
• Experience building software and automation for cloud or infrastructure platforms.
• Understanding of distributed systems and reliability challenges at scale.
• Proficient in cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ability to debug across application, Kubernetes, networking, and compute layers.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, development, reliability, and evolution of Groq's Kubernetes-based platform.
• Design and build Kubernetes-based systems that operate reliably and at scale.
• Develop automation and platform capabilities to simplify deployment and operation of workloads.
• Improve resilience, observability, performance, and efficiency of the Kubernetes platform.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements across clusters and infrastructure.
• Own platform capabilities from design to production operations and improvements.
• Collaborate with software and infra engineers to meet workload requirements.
• Establish Kubernetes engineering patterns, tooling, and operational practices.
• Debug complex production issues spanning Kubernetes, distributed systems, networking, and cloud infra.
• Shape the technical direction of the platform as scale evolves.
