Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Krio Telephone Interpreter who works from home in the United States. You will handle on-demand calls, render accurate meaning between Krio and English, and help remove language barriers across healthcare, government, insurance, and other industries served by LanguageLine.

This independent contractor role offers a pay rate per minute and opportunities for advancement, with support from a Senior Language Specialist and Interpreter and Technology Help Desks.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Krio and English and cultural awareness.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 18 years old and able to pass background checks if required.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
• Render meanings accurately per interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation.
• Maintain professionalism and stay neutral on calls.
• Handle high-volume or emergency situations calmly, including 911-related calls.
