BairesDev, a global software engineering firm, seeks a Backend Engineer specializing in Kotlin to design and maintain scalable JVM-based applications. You will build robust microservices, implement RESTful APIs, and ensure data persistence with PostgreSQL and JPA.

You will work remotely with a diverse, top-tier tech team, collaborating across disciplines to meet enterprise standards while leveraging Kafka and AWS for real-time data flows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of JVM backend development experience.
• Strong Kotlin expertise for microservices and distributed systems.
• Proven Spring Boot integration with Kotlin and data persistence using PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless service communication and strong UX.
• Implement efficient data persistence layers using JPA and PostgreSQL.
• Orchestrate event-driven architectures with Kafka and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable code and implement comprehensive unit tests.
