Tenax Aerospace seeks an experienced ASM Maintenance Controller to supervise and support aircraft maintenance for the ASM, ATGS, and NIROPS programs supporting the U.S. Forest Service.

This remote role coordinates aircraft status, maintenance progress, return-to-service documentation, vendor support, and AOG response for Tenax-owned and operated aircraft. The ideal candidate is a King Air SME with FAA A&P credentials and at least five years in maintenance, capable of documenting regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• At least five years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Parts 23, 39, 43, 91, 135, 145.
• Familiarity with FAA Forms 337 and 8110-3, and Designated Engineering Representative substantiation.
• Working knowledge of CAMP, Flightdocs, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, OneNote, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to review maintenance and return-to-service documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate aircraft status and maintenance progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel CONUS locations and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work nonstandard hours as required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate maintenance activity and monitor aircraft status across programs.
• Collaborate with PM, Director of Maintenance, ASM Maintenance Manager, and FAA reps to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with MRO providers for scheduling, parts procurement, and timely return to service.
• Review post-maintenance docs for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on proper maintenance documentation and TSOs as needed.
• Serve as King Air SME for engines and components on assigned programs.
• Maintain maintenance status in company systems and MS Office apps.
• Support the AOG call center on rotation and act as primary Tenax contact for pilots/vendors.
• Identify delays, recurring issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain SOPs related to maintenance and parts support.
• Support inventory accountability and annual audits.
• Contribute to fleet safety, reliability, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
