Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a School Health Specialist for the Ohio Digital Learning School (ODLS) to deliver preventive health services remotely from home. The role supports onboarding, Medical 504 and IEP processes, and tracks medical concerns for students and families.

Qualifications

• College degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Current LPN license or higher-level healthcare license in the state where services are performed.
• Minimum of two years of professional healthcare experience in relevant settings.
• Must meet state background checks, clearances, and other employment requirements.
• Remote work and residency must be in Ohio or within 50 miles of the Ohio border.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and protects the health status of all students and advises staff on health issues.
• Develops policies, procedures, and work standards for the school health program with leadership.
• Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local health laws and policies.
• Organizes, screens, and conducts health appraisals for students and staff.
• Records immunizations and health data in local, state, and federal databases.
• Provides health guidance and health science instruction to students.
