Job summary

Point Quest Group is hiring a Virtual ASL Educational Interpreter to provide sign language interpretation and communication access for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in K-12 settings. You will interpret in classrooms and small groups while collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support learning goals.

The role requires RID or equivalent certification, fluency in English, and knowledge of child development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or CHSPE certificate.
• RID certification or one of RID-recognized certificates (or equivalent).
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of core subjects; understanding child development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret manually and orally for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classrooms and small groups.
• Prepare with teachers to review upcoming content and vocabulary for access to instruction.
• Participate in IEP processes and share observations about communication and progress.
• Support individual and small-group instructional activities under teacher direction.
• Maintain accurate records and protect student confidentiality.
