Point Quest Group is hiring a Virtual ASL Educational Interpreter to provide sign language interpreting and communication access in K-12 settings. You will interpret in classrooms and small groups, supporting tutoring and daily instruction while aligning with students’ IEP goals.

You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance access to the curriculum, uphold confidentiality, and document progress throughout the school day.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or CHSPE certificate required.
• RID certification or equivalent listed (e.g., EIPA Level 4+, ACCI Level 4+, ESSES Level 4+, or EIPA Level 4+).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Knowledge of core subjects and child development.

Aufgaben

• Interpret orally and manually for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in classroom and small-group settings, matching language to student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to review upcoming topics and vocabulary for accessible instruction.
• Participate in IEP team discussions when appropriate and share progress observations.
• Provide instructional support and assist with daily assignments under teacher direction.
• Maintain accurate records of interpreting assignments and protect student confidentiality.
