Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Junior Project Manager to drive project success across a portfolio of complex software initiatives. You will own communication with stakeholders, manage schedules, and mitigate risks, while engaging customers and partners to achieve outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a technical undergraduate degree, a strong academic record, and excellent English communication. International travel up to two weeks per event may be required, with twice-yearly in-person team sprints.

Qualifications

• Solid academic achievement in science, software engineering and/or information technology
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
• Solution-oriented mindset and professional negotiation skills
• Demonstrated leadership in school or university life

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs and projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, and resources
• Identify key risks and issues and implement mitigating actions
• Maintain strong customer focus and engage all stakeholders
• Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews with customers
• Coordinate delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables
• Advocate Canonical technologies to customers
