Job summary

Canonical is seeking a product manager to lead lifecycle management from conception to delivery, collaborating with engineering, design, marketing and sales. This role is home-based in the EMEA time zone, with travel up to four times per year for company events.

You will drive strategy, analyze market trends, gather customer feedback, and communicate decisions to ensure alignment and successful product launches across multiple domains within this global open source context.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic results at high school and university.
• Understanding of Linux and the open source software community.
• Understanding of computer architecture, datacenters, cloud or devices.
• Outstanding communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while maintaining focus on priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle across prioritization and goals for your product.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to drive outcomes.
• Address cross-project challenges and align on priorities to keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate to improve user experience.
• Develop go-to-market strategies and create product documentation with marketing and sales.
• Support sales in winning opportunities and gather customer feedback.
• Oversee a product line ensuring consistency in strategy across teams.
• Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts across departments.
