WhatJobs Direct is seeking a motivated Junior Network Administrator to join a fully remote IT infrastructure team. The role is remote-first, based out of Welkom, Free State, but operates entirely remotely, collaborating with an IT group to install, monitor, and secure network infrastructure.

You will work with routers, switches, and firewalls, learn to troubleshoot and maintain uptime, and engage in on-call support as needed. A recent graduate with networking interest will fit well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+).
• Foundational networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security knowledge.
• Experience with network monitoring tools is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar hardware is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent remote communication and self-management.
• Eligible to work remotely.
