Direct2Care is seeking a Junior Developer who loves digging into data to serve customers and engineers. You will own the technical support queue, investigate issues using SQL, logs, and cloud tools, and resolve many requests without engineering intervention.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, documenting findings for non-technical stakeholders, and building scalable processes while working remotely within the US.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technical support, production support, data operations, or a similar analyst role within a software company.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, GROUP BY, and window functions.
• Strong understanding of data relationships and the ability to recognize when a query could produce misleading results.
• Comfortable working in a terminal and navigating cloud-based consoles.
• Ability to read application logs, follow traces, and investigate technical issues independently.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written English and the ability to explain technical findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Comfortable working with protected health information and following HIPAA‑related data handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Support Queue and serve as the primary intake point for requests from Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and external partners.
• Turn incoming requests into clear, actionable Linear tickets with necessary investigation details.
• Document reproduction steps, affected organizations, environments, surfaces, labels, and estimates.
• Keep the queue organized by identifying duplicates and checking for existing issues before creating new tickets.
• Reproduce reported problems before escalating to engineering and determine if issues are defects, data discrepancies, configurations, or expected behavior.
• Use read-only SQL, reporting tools, logs, and administrative systems to investigate issues.
• Trace members and data through census and eligibility processes to identify discrepancies.
• Resolve the majority of inbound technical requests independently when possible.
• Run read-only SQL queries against reporting replicas and use Metabase to investigate data.
• Review CloudWatch logs and Cognito user status; investigate messaging via Twilio and SES.
