Job summary

Alaska Court System seeks a Chambers Judicial Assistant 2 to provide direct administrative and case management support to a judge. The role is based in Anchorage with remote assistance to the Utqiagvik court and regular travel to Utqiagvik, initially frequent and later quarterly.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible, fully qualified work experience as an administrative assistant.
• Ability to keyboard at least 40 words per minute (net).
• Knowledge of court processes or legal environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and distribute judicial correspondence, orders, judgments, and other court documents.
• Manage the judge's calendar, meetings, travel, and appointments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for telephone calls and visitors with professionalism and discretion.
