Job summary

Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania is seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer for a permanent remote role. You will modernize legacy systems, enhance web architecture, and drive technical upgrades in a collaborative environment.

Requirements include 5+ years of development experience, strong Java EE/Core Java/REST API skills, and familiarity with design patterns and security. Base salary ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 with performance bonuses and PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional development experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient in Java EE, Core Java, and REST API development.
• Familiarity with software design patterns, security protocols, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, write, and optimize clean, maintainable code across the full stack.
• Architect and scale high-performance web applications with strong UX focus.
• Modernize and refactor legacy code to improve performance.
• Build, manage, and support APIs, databases, and server logic for data pipelines.
• Implement robust data protection, authentication, and authorization standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade server infrastructure.
• Lead code reviews and enforce quality standards.
• Drive website improvements including billing and user feedback interfaces.
• Remote work flexibility with occasional onsite collaboration.
