Job summary

Turnberry Solutions is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to join our Digital Modernization practice in NJ. This contract role combines leadership with hands-on development, including AWS-based architectures, API design, and modern front-end work using React.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in planning and deployment, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet evolving business needs. The role is hybrid with 3-4 days onsite in Camden, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentoring to Software Engineers.
• Evaluate programming project requests and feasibility.
• Plan, develop, document, test, and deploy applications.
• Interview business stakeholders to define objectives.
• Create documentation describing program development and changes.
• Provide 24/7 production support.
• Own integrations between internal systems and external platforms.
• Migrate legacy workflows to AWS-based architectures.
• Build and maintain AWS resources (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CF/CDK).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Contribute to front-end features using React.
• Analyze programs to improve efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
