Job summary

Tundra Federal, an Akima company, seeks an Installation Engineer to lead on-site installation and configuration of Dell and VMware for a USAF client, with 50% travel across CONUS. The role requires security clearance, DoD/USAF familiarity, and the ability to work in a military environment.

The engineer will develop implementation docs, support teleconferences, and collaborate with team across time zones while ensuring quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an operational environment supporting Dell/VMware solutions.
• Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Active SECRET security clearance required.
• HS diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test Dell and VMware solutions.
• Extensive travel; primarily CONUS with some OCONUS.
• Develop implementation documentation and drawings.
• Support site teleconferences, readiness reviews, and site assessments.
• Work with team across different time zones and report to stakeholders.
• Provide reporting information to corporate and customer as requested.
• Operate in a military-structured environment.
• Troubleshoot storage, networking, and virtualization as needed.
