Job summary

Swooped seeks an IT Service Manager to own IT and business systems operations for a distributed, remote-first workforce in the United States. You will lead endpoints, enterprise apps, and day-to-day technical support with strong autonomy to design automated self-service workflows that scale service delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience managing a distributed, remote-first IT environment.
• Ability to work with high autonomy and make independent technical decisions.
• Hands-on administration experience with enterprise Apple hardware, macOS, and MDM platforms such as Kandji, Jamf, or Hexnode.
• Strong working knowledge of identity and access management platforms, such as Okta.
• Experience building or maturing security and compliance controls, such as endpoint compliance frameworks and access reviews.
• Ability to execute directly on operational security initiatives including vulnerability remediation, tooling rollouts, and regular access reviews.
• Proven track record of automating manual IT processes through scripting or self-service tooling to decrease ticket volume.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, with experience using Claude Code and AI tools to build automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own IT and business systems operations across the remote workforce, including provisioning and monthly software renewal reviews.
• Provide hands-on technical support across the organization with rapid, first-call resolution.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding procedures for devices and accounts.
• Partner with security leadership to build and maintain access controls, endpoint policies, and ISO-compliant audit documentation.
• Execute hands-on across security workstreams, including tooling deployments and vulnerability remediations.
• Develop automation and self-service tooling to reduce manual requests and improve visibility.
• Manage the company's Apple-based hardware fleet, including MDM policies and OS upgrades.
• Oversee vendor management for SaaS and IT vendors, including onboarding and offboarding.
