Job summary

Parachute Health is seeking an IT & Security professional to join the team and support security operations, identity management, and incident response across macOS, Linux, and Windows environments.

You'll work on Okta administration, ZScaler, SIEM, and automation tasks, with a focus on compliant healthcare technology and SOC 1/2/HITRUST CSF governed systems. Remote-first role with NYC office support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, IT Management, or a related field.
• Scripting experience is required. You can write working scripts in at least one of: Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of Linux command line, file system navigation, permissions, process management, log inspection (grep, awk, sed, tail, journalctl).
• Comfort with macOS as a daily-driver OS and basic troubleshooting on Mac.
• Solid IT troubleshooting fundamentals, networking basics (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TLS), authentication flows (SAML, OAuth, MFA), and hardware/software support.
• Comfort using Git, GitHub, and the terminal.
• Actively follows trends in IT, cybersecurity, and AI, with a strong desire to experiment with new tools.
• Strong written communication; you can document what you did so others can use it.
• Must reside in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• IT operations & endpoint: onboarding/off-boarding, hardware provisioning, troubleshooting tickets, end-user support.
• Identity & access: Okta admin, user lifecycle, SSO/MFA configuration, access reviews.
• Network & security tooling: ZScaler operations, DLP policies, WAF rule review, traffic analysis (AWS WAFv2 / Akamai).
• Scripting & automation: write/maintain scripts to automate IT/Security tasks; build small tools; participate in AI/agentic workflows to accelerate investigations.
