GovCIO is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and deliver technology projects across the organization. The role focuses on initiating, planning, and executing projects to meet business and technical requirements, ensuring on-time delivery and proper governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of IT Project Management experience or commensurate experience.
• Experience leading IT projects from initiation to closeout.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects from initiation, planning, and execution through implementation and project closeout.
• Define project scope, objectives, requirements, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate activities across infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, application, database, and business teams.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, technical discussions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Track project progress and proactively identify schedule, budget, resource, and technical risks.
• Maintain project risk, issue, action, and decision logs and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Identify project dependencies and coordinate activities across internal teams and external vendors.
• Provide regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates.
• Escalate project risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate testing, implementation, migration, cutover, and go-live activities (as needed).
• Conduct project closeout activities, including lessons learned and confirmation that project objectives have been achieved.
• Support continuous improvement of IT project management processes, standards, templates, and governance
