Job summary

PAHO ITS is seeking an IT Project Manager Consultant to lead an assigned portfolio of critical ITS projects, driving delivery with AI-enabled methods. You will coordinate with PAHO stakeholders, vendors, and UN partners, ensuring governance, risk management, and strong reporting across a global portfolio.

The role emphasizes change management, adoption, and hands-on delivery across predictive, agile, or hybrid modalities, with a remote/off-site work setup and core hours overlapping Washington,

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT project management in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets, external vendors and sponsors.
• Experience with enterprise applications, cloud, data, and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to deliver across predictive, agile, and hybrid methodologies.
• Experience establishing or improving project management practices/PMO.
• Demonstrated use of AI tooling in project delivery and reporting.
• Vendor management across contractors and systems integrators.
• Experience in multicultural, distributed environments; UN system/public health asset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Salesforce, Workday or comparable platforms.
• Strong organizational change management, training and adoption capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a portfolio of ITS critical projects through delivery.
• Raise maturity and consistency of project management across ITS portfolio.
• Establish AI-enabled delivery methods and reusable assets.
• Maintain risk, issue, decision, and dependency registers with owners and dates.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, and PAHO staff; facilitate planning and reviews.
• Provide consolidated portfolio reporting and executive communications.
• Oversee change impacts, readiness, and adoption activities for solutions.
