Job summary

Humana seeks an IT Procurement Lead to establish and execute sourcing and supplier strategies for enterprise technology products and services. You will own category plans, lead supplier negotiations, and manage strategic relationships across a healthcare technology portfolio.

You will translate business needs into practical sourcing strategies, balancing cost, value, and risk while collaborating with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or related field.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating, healthcare technology solutions in regulated industry.
• Negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives from requirements to implementation.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Advise senior leaders on sourcing strategies and market dynamics.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers through contract lifecycle and renewals.
• Deliver value through cost optimization, demand management, and supplier-enabled innovation.
• Develop business cases, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Promote adoption of preferred suppliers and contract standards.
