Job summary

Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) seeks an IT Business Analyst - Entry to join the Enterprise Technology Services division. This full-time remote role collaborates with business partners and technical staff to define technology solutions, with occasional in-person meetings as needed.

You will document requirements, develop use cases, and translate business needs into system designs, while ensuring compliance and effective communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to ensure stakeholders’ IT needs are understood and captured.
• Familiarity with SDLC and user-centered analysis and usability testing techniques.
• Experience identifying stakeholders and selecting IT BA techniques to manage basic IT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Document business requirements, rules, and logic, translating into technical requirements and design specs.
• Solicit prioritization of requirements for systems, data, or processes.
• Develop use cases and user stories and assist in prioritizing requirements.
• Communicate technical information to customer groups clearly.
• Review solutions to validate they meet business requirements and advise on design.
• Coordinate with IT and business staff through development and implementation to ensure end-products meet needs.
