Job summary

Commence seeks a dedicated Information Security Officer (ISSO) to own day-to-day security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for federal systems. You will collaborate with CIO, engineers, and compliance teams to ensure systems stay authorized to operate for CMS, VA, DoD, IRS, and DHS/TSA.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in information assurance, strong RMF experience, and knowledge of NIST SP 800-171/CMMC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years information assurance or cybersecurity experience; federal/accreditation experience preferred.
• Has led ATO/reauthorization under RMF with SSP authorship and POA&M management.
• Knowledge of CMS ARS/IS2P2, VA 6500, DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-171; HIPAA/IRS familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated ISSO for federal systems and liaison to agency ISSOs and officials.
• Lead security planning and authorization milestones within project plans.
• Prepare and maintain ATO packages, SSP, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
