Commence is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security assessments and authorization for federal systems. This remote role requires 5+ years in information assurance, with 3+ years as an ISSO/A&A lead, and familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and agency controls. Travel 15–25% to support CMS, VA, DoD, and IRS programs. You will prepare SSPs, manage POA&M, and coordinate audits with the CIO/ISSM.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years IA or cybersecurity, incl. 3+ years as ISSO/A&A lead for federal systems.
• Experience with federal systems and ATO/reauthorization processes.
• Familiarity with CMS ARS/IS2P2, VA 6500, DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-171/CMMC, IRS Pub 1075/4812, DHS 4300A.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation tasks.

Aufgaben

• Serve as ISSO for assigned federal systems and liaison to agency ISSOs.
• Coordinate security milestones into project plans and support CMS/IRS/DoD timelines.
• Manage RMF-based security assessment and authorization lifecycle.
• Maintain SSP, risk assessments, Privacy Impact Assessment, contingency and incident response plans.
• Prepare for audits and coordinate evidence collection and responses with Compliance Analysts.
