Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Information Assurance and Security Engineer to serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a cloud-hosted, Azure-based system.

The ideal candidate brings deep security expertise, strong stakeholder communication skills, and hands-on experience supporting Agile software development teams delivering mission critical solutions within DHS or other Federal environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance.
• Experience performing ISSO duties in Federal or regulated environments.
• Proven Azure-based cloud solution security experience and RMF documentation.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, 800-30, 800-37, 800-171 controls.
• CISSP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide information assurance support for network and information security systems.
• Lead RMF documentation, SSPs, POA&Ms, and security test plans.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and formal reporting.
• Design and implement security requirements across enterprise processes.
• Support secure architecture design and incident investigations.
