Job summary

Leidos in Tampa, FL seeks an experienced Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead cybersecurity within a software development team across the SDLC for Azure-based portal and gateway applications. You will ensure RMF, STIGs, and FedRAMP alignment, maintaining all SSP/POA&M/SAR/ATO artifacts.

Responsibilities include coordinating with AOs/ISSMs, overseeing enterprise security services, and mentoring junior staff. Active TS clearance and DoD cloud accreditation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related discipline and 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CAP, or CASP+.
• Knowledge of NIST RMF, eMASS workflows, and DoD cloud accreditation processes.
• Ability to work through complex problems using applied technical knowledge, understanding, reasoning and interpretation.
• Proven experience managing security compliance for cloud-hosted solutions in Azure or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53 controls, and vulnerability management processes.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile SDLC methodologies from a governance and compliance oversight perspective.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISSO embedded with software development team, ensuring cybersecurity compliance throughout SDLC for Azure-based portal and gateway applications.
• Guide development team in interpreting DoD cybersecurity policies, NIST RMF, and DISA STIG requirements.
• Maintain compliance with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and DISA SRG for cloud deployments.
• Own and maintain SSP, POA&M, SAR, and ATO artifacts for accreditation.
• Coordinate with AOs, ISSMs, system owners to drive ATO across classifications.
• Oversee integration of enterprise cybersecurity services (ACAS, HBSS, BCAP, PKI/ICAM).
• Monitor vulnerabilities and ensure findings are tracked to closure.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity personnel and foster compliance-driven culture.
• Stay informed on DoD guidance and cloud security best practices.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall meetings to provide governance input.
