Job summary

Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, seeks an Integration Specialist to manage the integration of software applications, systems, and databases across the university's IT landscape. You will design, implement, and maintain integration solutions using iPaaS, APIs, and data transformation to ensure secure data exchange and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or related field, or an Associate's degree with 2-3 years of related experience.
• Minimum of one year of experience in system integration, iPaaS technologies, RESTful APIs, SOAP services, JSON/XML processing and HTTP-based data exchange.
• Experience with no code/low code tools or programming languages.
• Proficiency in integration tools/technologies (middleware, ETL, API management) and hands-on experience with integration methods and protocols.
• Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, SQL, and data transformation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to connect disparate systems for data flow and interoperability using iPaaS technologies.
• Research and leverage APIs to facilitate communication and data exchange between systems with security and efficiency.
• Analyze data structures, perform data mapping, and define transformation rules to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with OIT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to align integrations with strategic goals and scalability.
• Identify and resolve integration issues, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for integrated systems.
• Create documentation of integration processes, configurations, and best practices; develop and enforce standards.
