Salve Regina University in Newport, RI seeks an Associate Director of Enterprise Applications to partner with the Senior Director and lead enterprise systems including ERP and Colleague. You will manage a small team, oversee projects, and ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • Five years of professional experience with enterprise‑level applications.
  • Two years of management/supervisory experience or leading large scale enterprise projects.
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, enterprise application security, SQL query, programming concepts, secure data integration methods, on premise and cloud-based enterprise system architecture.

Responsibilities

Job Description

This position is eligible for up to two days remote work perweek

Basic Function

The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications will be a strategic partner to the Senior Director of Enterprise Applicationsand a member of the Office of Information Technology Leadership Team. The individual will demonstrate leadership, the ability to manage enterprise projects, and be responsible for operational services by ensuring continued reliability of enterprise applications through planned maintenance and support to business users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of EnterpriseApplications, supporting the senior director and filling in as teamleader when necessary
  • Manage a small team of enterprise specialists, overseeingenterprise projects and service requests
  • Oversee the planning and execution of key enterprise systemsthat complement our ERP, Ellucian Colleague, such as financial aid,document management, ID card, IT ticketing, and campus portal.
  • Evaluate existing technologies to maintain proper versioncontrol and patching and provide recommendations for upgrades orreplacement.
  • Lead efforts to maintain and improve documentation ofapplications, interfaces, and operational processes.
  • Communicate with vendors, business users, and project managerson Enterprise Application efforts.
  • Oversee testing and implementation of new functionality andsystem enhancements.
  • Provide analysis of existing operational processes andworkflows and recommend improvements or efficiencies.
  • Develop standards and procedures for change management inEnterprise Applications.
  • Provide status updates and reports to IT management on projectsand operations.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT leadership in the planning and execution oftasks in the use of technology to meet both department andUniversity goals.
  • Assists with the support and development of third party andcloud-based integrations for Enterprise Applications.
  • Supports efforts for cybersecurity, data protection, businesscontinuity and disaster recovery efforts within EnterpriseApplications.
  • Perform such other related duties that may be assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,Business or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience working withenterprise-level applications.
  • A minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience orsignificant experience leading large scale enterprise projects withteam members and functional areas to success
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies
  • Candidate should exhibit knowledge and experience in thefollowing: database management systems, enterprise applicationsecurity, SQL query, programming concepts, secure data integrationmethods,, on premise and cloud-based enterprise systemarchitecture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or advanced degree in Information Technology, ComputerScience, Business, or related field.
  • More than five years of professional experience working withenterprise-level applications in a higher educationenvironment.
  • More than two years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Two years+ of management/supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and related enterprise systemsis preferred.
  • Experience with Ellucian Ethos for data integration.
  • Experience with Touchnet OneCard ID card solution.
  • Experience using GIT for version control.
  • Experience writing data integrations between systems to helptrain team members.
  • Proven track record utilizing agile project managementpractices to successfully manage enterprise projects to launch ontime
