Swyft Legal is seeking a Staff Attorney to streamline legal processes and increase accessibility to trademark and IP services. You’ll guide clients, conduct searches, and help scale our trademark practice while working flexibly with remote options and an office in Houston.

The role emphasizes intellectual property law, client education, and efficient handling of filings, with a focus on expanding access to legal services for small businesses.

Qualifications

• License to practice law in Arizona or Washington DC.
• 0–5 years of legal experience.
• Experience in intellectual property law.
• Passion for professional ethics.
• Ability to clearly explain legal concepts to non-attorneys and clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review trademark searches; provide strategic advice and risk analyses.
• Advise clients on registrability and strength of marks.
• File a high volume of trademark applications with the USPTO.
• Respond to Office actions.
• Assist senior trademark attorneys with caseloads.
• Help small businesses register trademarks and focus on substantive legal work.
