Job summary

Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP (BSKB) in Virginia is seeking an IP Specialist responsible for providing interim cover for IP Legal Assistants, ensuring continual support for attorneys. This role involves filing patent applications and supporting patent prosecution matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of comprehensive US patent prosecution experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of administrative issues related to Intellectual Property is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and assist with overflow work for IP Legal Assistants as requested.
• Create, revise and file US Patent Applications.
• Draft and prepare documentation for US Patent and Trademark prosecution.
• Maintain integrity of the Firm's prior art database and assist with client communications.
