Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an entry-level Default Invoice Coordinator to review vendor invoices, ensure accuracy, and verify documentation for work completed. This remote role emphasizes adherence to agency and company policies, while meeting defined processing goals.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 6–12 months of invoicing experience, and solid Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• 6–12 months of billing/invoicing experience preferred
• Default Mortgage Servicing experience preferred
• Understanding of loan servicing default-related documents preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and manage workload

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for compliance with allowed amounts
• Verify supporting documentation reflects actual work completed
• Process invoices promptly to meet department goals
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding invoices
• Stay updated on FHA, VA, USDA, PMI, FNMA, and FHLMC servicing requirements
• Use critical thinking to identify red flags and escalate as needed
• Plan and schedule work to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Learn and expand job knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned
