Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking an entry to mid-level Default Invoice Coordinator I to review vendor invoices for approval and ensure compliance with agency and company guidelines. The role involves validating work completed, reconciling invoices, and meeting department deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 6–12 months of billing experience and familiarity with mortgage servicing documents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• 6–12 months of billing/invoicing experience preferred.
• Default Mortgage Servicing experience preferred.
• Understanding of the loan servicing default-related documents preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to complete research within applicable systems to support invoicing.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for compliance with agency/company allowable amounts.
• Verify supporting documentation reflects actual work completed.
• Process invoices in a timely manner to meet department goals.
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding invoices submitted.
• Stay updated on FHA, VA, USDA, PMI, FNMA, and FHLMC servicing requirements.
• Identify and escalate red flags, concerns, and issues as needed.
• Plan and schedule work efficiently; look for cost reductions.
• Adhere to policies and learn new skills as needed.
