Job summary

micro1 is seeking Reporters & Correspondents to contribute document-driven articles for a customer's project. This contractor role emphasizes in-depth research, factual storytelling, and rigorous source validation.

You'll analyze public records, synthesize lengthy documents, and craft clear narratives for training next-generation AI systems. Remote collaboration with editorial teams is encouraged and preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years reporting or correspondent experience at a recognized media outlet.
• Proven expertise in document-heavy beats such as investigative journalism, business, or science reporting.
• Demonstrated excellence in synthesizing large volumes of material into engaging, structured narratives.
• Track record of rigorous source validation, fact-checking, and verifiable reporting (not opinion or commentary).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Familiarity with journalistic standards for transparency, citations, and use of public records.
• Experience collaborating remotely with editorial or project teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and synthesize information from public records, reports, and lengthy documents to distill key findings.
• Conduct rigorous source verification and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and credibility of all content produced.
• Develop well-structured, non-opinion articles employing industry-standard narrative formats such as the lead and inverted pyramid.
